Welcome to the Arno Lab at the University of Birmingham! We are a multidisciplinary research group at the interface between polymer chemistry and cell biology. We are focussed on the design and synthesis of biocompatible polymers that can be used to generate cell-based therapies and biocompatible scaffolds for various applications in healthcare and beyond. If you would like to learn more about our research and are interested in joining us, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Research
The Arno Lab are interested in exploring cell engineering methodologies to investigate cell-materials interactions, control cell behaviour and function. We use biomaterials and biochemistry methodologies to address global healthcare challenges.
Our research focuses mainly on the design of biocompatible materials and the investigation of cell and protein engineering approaches to develop cell-based therapies. Explore this website to know more about us!
