Dr Arsalan Latif

Arsalan was awarded his PhD in Immunology and Immuno-bio engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK in 2021. Under the supervision of Professor Amir Ghaemmaghami and Professor Morgan Alexander he worked on cell-instructive surface chemistries to promote wound healing. He continued as a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) to further develop these chemistries to promote wound healing in chronic diabetic wounds. In 2022, he joined Ivy Farm Technologies, Oxford as a Biomaterials Scientist to work on scaffolds for alternative food applications. In 2024, He transitioned to the School of Dentistry, University of Birmingham to develop Immuno-competent oral mucosal models. In 2025, he began working as a PDRA in the Arno group, where is working on the use of novel nano-adhesives in tissue repair.
