Kaixiang was awarded his PhD in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2024, located in his hometown of Hefei, China. Under the supervision of Professor Yezi You, he developed projects focused on functional adhesive hydrogels. In 2022, he joined the O’Reilly Group as a joint PhD student, funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC), to investigate tunable adhesive hydrogels based on Polymerization-Induced Self-Assembly (PISA). In 2024, he began working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) in the Arno group, focusing on the adhesive properties of CDSA nanosheets.
